How to put on your AbdoMend belt
The AbdoMend Support belt is easy to put on and feels great. For vertical or horizontal incisions, it adjusts easily and the cotton material makes for a comfortable fit.
Put on the belt before getting out of bed, or rolling to your side, for at least 1 to 3 weeks post surgery. Allow your skin to breathe several times a day by opening the belt while lying down.
Our DVD provides you with signs of infections and easy massage moves to help you recover. It has techniques to bring comfort for the first 3 weeks post surgery, with follow up massage techniques for up to one year. Wear the belt for as long as you need support, and remember, massage daily. It is also important to ask for help and support from family and friends.
Please call your Doctor if you have a fever, or have severe shooting pain or red streaks.
The cotton belt is worn low for a low incision, and the belt can be turned upside down for a surgery above the belly button, with the extra strap applied for more support.
